Why a standing order
A retreat is booked long before anyone walks in.
Flights, lodging, ground transport, art supplies, journals, care packages, food, and a team of trained facilitators. A retreat for a full house runs to about $11,000, and every piece of it has to be committed to months ahead.
A one-time order is wonderful and we are grateful for every one. A standing order is different in kind. It is the only thing that lets us look at April and say yes to a recovery home for July.
So: same coffee, same price, arriving on a schedule you set. It just happens to be the version of buying it that we can plan around.
What that looks like on the ground
Before the retreat we asked one question. Not what do we want to teach them. How do we want them to feel.
So we made a list. Seen. Safe. Childlike. Peaceful. Celebrated. Then we built the retreat around making every word of it true. A pizza party. Movie night. A dinner where everyone got dressed up, because they deserve to feel beautiful. Spa time. Art therapy. Night swims, where there is water. And underneath all of it, the work.
